Maybe

maybe,
all the reposts,
the obvious cries for help,
the constant mention of self hate,
all the goodbyes,
the notes that were written,
the sudden change in mood,
the sudden withdrawal from everything,
the partying to cope,
the love of sleep,
the constant mention of ending it all,
the lack of interest,
the wish to be loved,
the wish to just be enough.

all had a purpose,
maybe, just maybe, they were all signs.
signs that should’ve been seen.
maybe.
