Faded bonds

It began with a simple hello,
A glance that turned into a conversation,
Realizing how much we share in common,
Becoming closer to others, and forming a big bond
Laughter came easy,
Feeling like myself again, feeling free around them,
Trust built,
Creating a safe space for any and everything,
We used to share everything:
crushes, dreams, fears
And now, silence is all that fills the room,

conversations grow shorter,
messages unanswered,
calls ignored,
with each photo i see, like a faded memory of what we once had,
when i was happy,

Everyday, we cross paths,
i still remember everything we once had,
you don’t seem to care,
we walk past,

strangers once again.
