Whisper of Resilience
Trigger warning: Mention of suicide
In shadows deep, a soul does dwell,
Beneath the weight of memories held.
Since tender years of early dawn,
Anxieties like thorns are drawn.
Isolation, a familiar friend,
From kin and friend, a world to mend.
A heart that quivers at raised voice,
Echoes of past, no gentle choice.
In every face, a haunting fear,
Of malevolent presence drawing near.
Yet, within the heart, a silent plea,
For solace, for freedom, to be free.
Suicidal whispers, cruel and cold,
A battle fought, a story untold.
In grade three, a fragile thread,
Bound by love, a mother's dread.
Touch, a language fraught with pain,
A tender caress, a tempest's rain.
Tears unshed, a silent plea,
For understanding, to simply be.
But in the depths, a flicker glows,
A seed of hope, a rose that grows.
For every night, there comes a dawn,
A chance to rise, to carry on.
In every heart, a strength untold,
A resilience, a tale of old.
Though shadows linger, fears remain,
Within the soul, a fire to reign.
So here's to you, courageous soul,
In trials faced, in battles toll.
You're not alone, you'll never be,
For in these words, a solidarity.
