Lost father

They say a girl needs her father
and maybe that is true
but I don’t think I need mine
cause maybe he’s too new

He doesn’t understand
that I’m just a girl trying my best
but he leaves me out like
I’m not just like the rest

Not all girl needs their father
cause I truly don’t need mine
I’ve learned to be an independent girl
on my own where was my father
No one to call daddy nor
to run an give a big hug

When all I need from him was
a little love and a few big hugs
but even that is too hard to give
So I’ll just be an independent lost girl.
