Whisper of Resilience II
In shadows deep, a child's cry,
Beneath the weight of a father's lie.
Abandoned hearts, left to fend,
In silent rooms where sorrows blend.
A brother’s care, a burdened soul,
A lady's scorn, a heart left cold.
No mother’s touch to ease the night,
Blocked and lost, devoid of light.
Why must I suffer, why alone?
In silent screams, my anguish grown.
A dusty trophy on a shelf,
Forgotten, lost, unto myself.
Mommy found us, broke the chains,
Yet shadows linger, endless pains.
Father's deeds, a bitter stain,
Anxiety’s grip, a lasting reign.
Voices raised, a frightened start,
Flashbacks tear my soul apart.
I cry for help in silent tears,
Haunted by the ghosts of years.
A cry at night, no words to speak,
Tears that fall, a river’s streak.
Stuffed animals, a solace sought,
A childhood missed, in dreams, it's caught.
Cool figurines, a silent plea,
For the child I was, for the child in me.
Told to leave, to go away,
As father’s cruelty held its sway.
Look at what you’ve done to me,
The open nature turned to flee.
A heart that’s closed, a soul that fears,
In echoes of those painful years.
Someone save me from this night,
From memories that grip so tight.
I cry and cry until I sleep,
In silent sorrow, secrets keep.
Father, are you satisfied?
With the tears I’ve shed, the nights I’ve cried?
I hope you see what you have wrought,
In every silent, tormented thought.
Yet here I stand, though shadows fall,
A testament to survive it all.
In every tear, in every cry,
A strength emerges, I will not die.
In echoes deep, a whispered plea,
In pain and sorrow, I’ll find me.
For though the past is harsh and wild,
Within me lives a warrior’s child.
